Stoate questions minister on police powers Dr. Stoate: To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what powers are available to the police and local authorities to compel landowners to take appropriate steps to secure land in order to prevent it from being used for antisocial and criminal purposes.
Mr. Coaker: I understand that police do not have such powers. Local authority powers are the responsibility of the Department of Communities and Local Government. |
