Dartford MP, Dr Howard Stoate has welcomed an announcment by the Home Office of a further £10 million investment in the fight against anti-social behaviour, which will see a proportion of the funds allocated directly to Kent County Council. The Home Office's announcement comes on the back of findings from the British Crime Survey, which show that there has been a fall in people's perception of anti-social behaviour as a local problem over the last six years. The money is intended to assist authorities in continuing, and improving upon this trend by boosting the ability of the public to report anti-social behaviour and improve the services available to those who are victims of anti-social behaviour. Speaking about the money allocated to Kent, Dr Stoate said "I am pleased by the Government's continuing commitment to fighting anti-social behaviour and assisting the public in reporting incidents. I hope that Kent is able to put the money to good use. For further details on the investment and how it is being shared around the country, please click HERE |
