Two local Children’s Centre managers had an evening to remember this week at a ‘Community Champions’ reception at 10 Downing Street hosted by Gordon and Sarah Brown. Sue Gates, the Children’s Centre Locality Co-ordinator for Dartford, and Mary Bailey, Children’s Centre Network Manager for Dartford were invited by Dartford MP, Dr Howard Stoate to attend the reception on Wednesday evening. “It’s the hard work and commitment of people like Sue and Mary over the years that has helped to make Dartford’s Children’s Centres the success they’ve become. Thousands of local children have benefited from their efforts and I was delighted therefore to be able to invite them along to this reception to meet the Prime Minister.” “Evenings like this are about giving people like Sue and Mary, who do such sterling work for the community, the recognition and the praise that they so richly deserve;” said Dr Stoate.
