Stoate contributes to debate on Health Select Committee's report on alcohol

Dr Howard Stoate has taken part in a Parliamentary debate on the findings of the Health Select Committee's recent report into alcohol and its effects on society.  Dr Stoate is a member of the Health Committee and contributed heavily to the creation of the report.

MP holds debate on self care

Dartford MP, and practising GP, Dr Howard Stoate has held an adjournment debate with the Health Minister on the important role that self care can play in improving health outcomes in the UK, and in allowing GPs to provide more care to patients with more serious or long-term conditions.

Stoate questions Minister on NHS appraisal toolkit

Dartford MP and practising GP, Dr Howard Stoate has questioned Health Ministers on the issue of the NHS appraisal toolkit for GPs, used by doctors to help them prepare for appraisals and starting from next year, reaccreditation by the GMC.

MP joins debte on child migrants

Dr Stoate has participated in a debate on the subject of forced child migration during the 1960s, in which Prime Minister Gordon Brown issued an official apology for the actions of previous British governments.  Dr Stoate has long been a supporter of the Child Migrants Trust and along with colleagues such as Kevin Barron, has long called for an official apology.  For details of the debate, and Dr Stoate's comments, please click the read more button.
