EDM 661 - Screening for Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms 09.01.2008Stoate, Howard That this House welcomes the announcement of a national screening programme for abdominal aortic aneurysms; notes the Men's Health Forum's campaign on this issue, supported by the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Men's Health and hon. Members of all parties; further notes both that in spring 2007 the National Screening Committee recommended screening for older men and that a successful screening programme has run for many years in Gloucestershire; and calls on the Government to announce a firm timetable for the programme's introduction without further delay. |
