Concerns over the scheme have arisen due to the decision by Telegraph Media Group to terminate its current printing agreement with West Ferry Printers, placing its future in doubt.

Dr Stoate said, "a number of constituents are employees of West Ferry Printers, and naturally are concerned about the potential impact of this on their pension scheme.  I have raised their concerns with the Pension Commissioner in an effort to ensure that suitable action is taken to preserve workers' pensions."
