Dartford MP, Dr Howard Stoate has welcomed the release of a Citizens Advice Bureau leaflet containing basic advice for people on Christmas spending.  Discussing the leaflet, Dr Stoate said, "Christmas is a time where we can all be tempted to spend that little bit too much, and come to regret it in the New Year.  The information in this leaflet, whilst not complicated, should help to remind people of the importance of using their money wisely and of not seeking to borrow money just to buy the latest games console or trainers."

"As a parent, I fully understand the pressures we place on ourselves to ensure that our children don't go without, but I hope that this information can assist in reminding people that new presents are not the be all and end all of the Christmas season."
