MP visits the Paula Gosnell School of Dance
Thursday, 28 January 2010
Dartford MP, Dr Howard Stoate has visited a local dance school whose pupils have been selected to represent Great Britain at the 2010 World Dance Championships in Hungary.  The school, run by local teacher Paula Gosnell, provides dance classes for adults and children of all ages, and is entering a team of tap dancers to the World Championships, scheduled to take place in May.

The dancers will form part of the 80 strong Great Britain team at the Championships and will be hoping to bring gold back to Dartford.  The school, which is affiliated to the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, and will contribute a total of 12 competitors ranging in age from 18 - 70, the majority of whom live in the local area, is looking for support and sponsorship in its efforts to send pupils to the World Championships.

Discussing his visit, Dr Stoate said, "I'm really impressed with the work Paula is doing here, and its obvious that everyone is really enjoying themselves.  It would be a fantastic achievement if the school's pupils can make it to Hungary and help put Dartford on the international dance map."

The school is looking to raise £4,500 to ensure that everyone can go to Hungary.  If you would like to know more or would be interested in sponsoring them, you can contact Dr Stoate's office directly.
