Must this represent the past?
The four page document describes some of the measures that we need to think about taking, both here in Dartford and at a national level, in a bid to combat climate change. It discusses ideas such as personal carbon trading, road pricing, the use of concentrated solar power technology (CSP) and various measures aimed at cutting domestic carbon emissions.

“Climate change is perhaps the single greatest challenge that the world faces today: It also one of the issues that I get the most letters and calls about from Dartford residents. This draft green manifesto is a chance for local residents have their say about climate change and to tell me what they think we should be doing to tackle it as a community,” said Dr Stoate.

Can CSP represent the future?
“The ideas contained in the manifesto are just suggestions to aid the discussion at this stage. I want to hear as many different ideas and comments as I can from local residents: nothing is off-limits as far as I am concerned. I hope that as many local people as possible therefore will read the manifesto and let me know what they think about it,” the MP added.
