MP inspects MIND's new cottage garden in Dartford Dartford MP, Dr Howard Stoate, visited a new cottage garden at the Dartford HQ of mental health charity MIND yesterday. Dr Stoate and workers at MIND The cottage garden, which has a plant and flower garden and a water feature, has been created from scratch by a team of MIND service users and volunteers.
Dr Stoate said; “The MIND team have done a great job with this garden. They’ve transformed a neglected and uninviting piece of land into a very attractive and pleasant cottage garden, that will I’m sure give many people a great deal of pleasure for years to come.”

Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley MIND is based at the Almshouse in West Hill in Dartford. DGS MIND works with people with mental health problems to effect personal and social change. It campaigns in response to local and national concerns and provides mental health education. Originally formed in 1967, DGS MIND now employs 17 full-time and part-time staff, and enjoys the support of over 60 volunteers.
