MP delight at North West Kent College Funding Decision

Dartford MP, Dr Howard Stoate, has welcomed today’s announcement that North West Kent College’s bid for funding to redevelop its Dartford campus has been approved by the Learning and Skills Council.
During a recent interview, Dr Stoate took the opportunity to discuss the election of John Bercow to the role of Speaker of the House of Commons, and air his views on how the role of Parliament could be strengthened and reformed.
MP brokers agreement for law change on pharmacy dispensing errors

Dartford MP, Dr Howard Stoate, was handed an award this week by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, for his efforts in furthering the pharmacy profession through his work in Parliament.
MPs work long and often unsocial hours. They often begin work around 7.00am and the working day continues until very late at night. MPs need a base in London to do their jobs properly. Much of the work that I do as MP for Dartford takes place late at night or in the early hours of the morning within the House. It is at this time that Ministers are available for more informal conversations in which I can raise issues regarding the local area, and discuss my concerns about a particular issue. I believe I would be a less effective MP if I could not do this on a regular basis.

Dr Howard Stoate has condemned Kent Highways Service (KHS) and the Thames Water contractor, Skanska, for their failure to ensure that road works being carried out along Hythe Street have been completed.
